Is Human Design Astrology?

HUMAN DESIGN SHADOW SHORT: IS HUMAN DESIGN ASTROLOGY?

Short answer, no. But Human Design does incorporate astrology by aligning the planets/constellations with the hexagrams of the Chinese I-ching on the mandala.

Another question that I get often is, “Is Human Design astrology? So Human Design is a modality that is built off of the back of astrology but it is not astrology. Now, I have a whole podcast episode and a whole class explaining tropical astrology and true sky astrology and how Human Design is actually built from tropical astrology. There is a lot of chitter chatter and talk in the Human Design Community about tropical versus sidereal; true sky astrology. If you are new to Human Design, all you need to worry about is that Human Design is the system that was built incorporating astrology. The way that it incorporates astrology is through the mandala. If you are new, it’s maybe not that important, although I do recommend that you purchase the Human Design book (linked above). Human Design is not astrology, incorporates tropical astrology which means that it is not true sky. It is not where the where the gates were, where the constellations were when you were born in the actual sky; it's based off of tropical astrology. The gates are affected by the astrology so the gates on the mandala, where the constellations were, does affect the gates. Then the constellations move through the Mandala. So, Human Design is not astrology, but Human Design incorporates astrology and Human Design would not be what it is without astrology. I hope that is helpful!
